For the Record

A music diary for every genre: rate albums in half stars, log listens, keep a crate and follow people whose taste you trust.

For the Record home screen: albums logged this year, popular this week, fresh on the shelf, and member reviews.
Home screen, running with the app's sample community data.
Problem
Film fans have a place to log what they watch. Music fans who want the same thing for albums have few native options that cover every genre and sync cleanly across devices.
My role
Solo developer and publisher. I built the app, the sync engine, the backend schema and its security rules, the legal site, the App Store listing and the release pipeline.
Shipped
Version 1.0 of the iOS app, submitted through App Store Connect, plus its backend and a marketing and legal site.
Stack
  • Swift
  • SwiftUI
  • Supabase (Postgres, row-level security, edge functions)
  • Sign in with Apple
  • StoreKit 2
  • MusicKit
Outcome
  • A release check that fails any build calling an OS symbol the target iPhone lacks, written after it caught a real crash
  • Build uploaded to App Store Connect in November 2026

About me

Wilfredo Baez

Hi, I'm Wilfredo. My degree is in biology, but I kept getting pulled toward technology I could build with.

Before engineering I was deep in AI and crypto, and I ran my own digital magazine. It taught me to learn new tools fast and to make things for real readers.

Then I made the move into AI engineering. I direct AI coding agents the way a lead directs a team: I write the spec, review small changes, and accept nothing on trust. Every build here has a test gate, and anything that sends, publishes, pays or deletes waits for my approval.

Along the way I worked tech support at Apple and Geek Squad, and I run Elevare Solutions, a small studio that builds websites and tools for local businesses.

Now I'm looking for my chance: a founding or early engineering role where I can own a product from its first useful version onward.
